The country’s rich history is what makes Poland so fascinating a country with 14 cultural UNESCO World Heritage Sites. From hundreds of medieval castles to the infamous Auschwitz Birkenau camp and admirable museums, there is such a lot to take in and discover.
Scenic Outdoors
Mountains swathed in snow in the winter and clad in lush vegetation in summer, tumbling rivers that carve their way through thick forests, and the dreamy Baltic Sea… Poland has all boxes ticked when it comes to the great outdoors. Nicknamed the Polish Alps, the Tatras are a delight to hike on in summers and serve as the perfect ski slope in winter.
Polish Food
Don’t go to Poland when on a diet! Go there with the intention to eat and make the most of the delicious Polish food. A holiday to Poland would not be complete without a generous serving of pierogi (dumpling) followed by a slice of sernik (Polish cheesecake) or a paczki (Polish doughnut). There’s nothing quite like the country’s traditional hearty fare.
The Vodka (And Beer)
Poland does alcohol quite well! You need to try the vodka on your visit to Poland.. it’s a tradition! Poles know how to party all year round. Whether it’s a summer music festival or a regular Friday night at a club, there is always a reason to celebrate in Poland. Be careful though – Poles can drink a lot!
